YEODA (Real Name: Yeo, Dayeon) 1992 -
Born in South Korea, Resides in Germany
This artist, based in Germany, has studied design, photography, installation, performance, media art, and philosophy in both South Korea and Germany. She has been collaborating with artists from diverse genres since 2019, including stage arts and contemporary music to address her interest in diverse artistic disciplines. For three years, she was actively involved in the German performance project team ‘Ypsilon,’ co-producing and directing performances. Initially, her work was primarily stage-based, but she later expanded into virtual spaces, reflecting on the nature of the spaces where the work took place. After the dissolution of the team, she formed Team YEODA and has been engaged in extensive project-based work with support from various organizations in both countries. She primarily explores phenomena that occur within the human psyche, especially focusing on the information that emerges in the process of human cognition as it relates to the body (performance), installations, sound, and relationships within a space.
